Accessible to the general public for about a year, the barrettes of DDR5 see their performance increase significantly.
Alongside a few other big names, G.Skill is definitely one of the hottest brands since DDR5 came out. The company intends to maintain a certain lead in the field.
From DDR5-6800 to CL32
To do this, it is not one, but two new DDR5 kits that are announced, with the aim of making “ shake the walls “. To be stored in the Trident Z5 RGB range, the first kit is limited to a capacity of 32 GB.
Available in the form of two bars of 16 GB each, it displays maddening performance. It’s actually DDR5-6800 which still has the luxury of offering CL32-45-45-108 timings.
Of course, while the Intel Alder Lake platform is officially limited to DDR5-4800, and the AMD AM5 and Intel Raptor Lake will only upgrade to DDR5-5200, G.Skill’s new kit is aimed at overclockers a nothing crazy. The screenshot above shows it paired with a Core i7-12700K on an ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero motherboard.
Up to 64 GB in CL32
A tad less ambitious in terms of performance, the second kit announced today by G.Skill will interest overclockers lacking capacity.
Indeed, it is here a question of a DDR5-6400 kit “only”, but designed with two bars of 32 GB each. The timings are also a little higher than those of the previous kit: G.Skill advances a remarkable CL32-39-39-102, given the ability mentioned.
As if to prove the excellence of its product, G.Skill broadcasts another screenshot, on the same configuration (Core i7-12700K, ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero). Alas, if the brand speaks of a release in October, it does not give any price information.
