Of course, there is no question of formalizing the thing at G.Skill yet, but the source seems solid and the manufacturer should indeed offer kits with bars designed to follow the EXPO profiles imagined by AMD to oppose the XMP 3.0 from Intel.
These DDR5-6000 modules would therefore be very easy to adjust from the BIOS to obtain operation at a 1:1 ratio between the FCLK (speed of the Infinity Fabric) and the MCLK (speed of the RAM itself). The idea is of course to avoid any bottleneck for better performance.
We do not have the prices for this Trident Z5 “EXPO”. Be aware, however, that G.Skill has DDR5-6000 “XMP 3.0” with timings from 30-40-40-96 to 600 euros for 32 GB. According to TechPowerUpit would take timings from 30-38-38-96 for “EXPO”, so fairly close prices.
