Gabriel Attal returns for the first time to the school harassment of which he was a victim: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

Gabriel Attal, the current Minister of National Education and spearhead of the fight against school bullying, returned on Sunday, November 5, 2023, on the painful experience he went through when he was still a teenager. In Seven to eighton TF1he told journalist Audrey Crespo-Mara his story with, he said, hope “[d’]help those who, today in turn, are going through this suffering, and tell them that we can overcome it and heal”. Guest of Portrait of the weekhe told : “It was a student of the establishment who had opened this site on which it was necessary to post comments on the physical appearance of the students. And me on this occasion, I experienced a flood of insults and insults, it lasted several months and it was ultra-violent. So aged “14, 15 years old”the young Gabriel Attal suffered mockery following a specific event which he still remembers today. “I went with a girl to the cinema and it was a girl he (her stalker) liked in the establishment”he revealed.

The young minister then continued the exhibition of his terrible memories in front of Thierry Ardisson’s wife. “I remember that day he told me… ‘I’m going to destroy you’. Victim of homophobic insults, Gabriel Attal, who was forced to come out following the announcement of the news by a third person in 2018, returns to his homosexuality. “I didn’t talk about it around me”, confided the former companion of the singer Joyce Jonathan, now in a relationship with Stéphane Séjourné. Following numerous recent cases, including the suicide of Lindsay aged 13, school bullying has become a national priority for France and for its Minister of Education in particular.
