Music fans can look forward to Gabriel Kelly's first solo single. Angelo Kelly's son makes his debut with a rap song.

Gabriel Kelly (19) is starting his first solo release. The eldest son of Angelo Kelly (39) released his single "Sucht" on Friday – a hip-hop production that he recorded with his younger sister Helen (18). Why did he choose German rap and not the typical Kelly folk?

With "Sucht" he wanted to try something new that "just doesn't fit the family program". "My songs are self-written and nobody is allowed to help me with the lyrics, because it should stay personal," emphasizes the 19-year-old. The siblings also differ optically from their prominent relatives. Instead of long manes, the two surprise with shaved heads.

That Sister Helen can be heard in his solo debut was not initially planned. "What's funny is that I only had Helen on the song as a demo singer at first because I needed a female voice in the chorus, and Helen kindly sang it in from Ireland. I liked it so much that she just did stayed in the song, "Kelly reveals.

Dramatic music video

The 18-year-old can also be seen in Gabriel Kelly's accompanying music video, which was filmed in "the impressive buildings of the Beelitzer Heilstätten". "The setting served as the perfect setting for the abstractness and love-hate relationship that I wanted to symbolize. Through all of this, the theme of the song, i.e. the fight against addiction, became clear again and this now gives me a good feeling about the matter." However, Gabriel Kelly does not reveal what and who exactly it is in "Addiction".

Gabriel Kelly's musical abilities are no coincidence. Together with his parents Angelo and Kira Kelly (41) and his four younger siblings, he has been publishing music for several years. They are known as Angelo Kelly & Family and some of their songs are penned by Gabriel.
