There is a celebration in the royal family: Gabriel of Sweden is six years old. Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip share a new picture.
Today there will certainly be a big celebration in Princess Sofia’s (38) and Prince Carl Philip’s (44) Villa Solbacken: her middle son, Gabriel of Sweden, will be six years old. For fans of the Swedish royal family, the birthday boy’s parents shared a new portrait of King Carl XVI’s grandson. Gustaf (77) and Queen Silvia (79) on Instagram.
Gabriel then looks directly into the camera with a gentle smile. In the picture he is wearing a light yellow sweater and blue pants. A silver chain can also be seen on his right arm. The snapshot reads: “Today we celebrate the 6th birthday of our beloved Gabriel!” Many users point to the resemblance that the six-year-old bears to his mother Sofia in the comments.
Big family among the Swedish royals
Princess Sofia of Sweden and Prince Carl Philip, who live with their family in Stockholm, have three sons: Prince Alexander, 7, Prince Gabriel, and little Julian, 2. It was only in July that the royal couple posed for a sweet commemorative photo, published by the royal court on Instagram. The family is apparently on summer vacation in the picture – and Sofia wowed with no discernible make-up.
Sofia and Carl Philip have been married since 2015. Carl Philip is the only son of King Carl XVI. Gustaf and Queen Silvia and the brother of Crown Princess Victoria (46) and Princess Madeleine (41).
King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia are surrounded by a large crowd of grandchildren. In addition to Carl Philip’s three sons, Crown Princess Victoria has children Estelle (11) and Oscar (7) with husband Daniel of Sweden (49). Princess Madeleine and her husband Chris O’Neill (49) are parents to Adrienne (5), Nicolas (8) and Leonore (9). Another big birthday is also imminent for the Sweden Royals: Daniel of Sweden will be 50 on September 15th.
