Expected for the start of 2024, the Galaxy Book 4 is already making waves. In a recent blog post, Windows Report shared visuals and the technical sheet of this next generation of Samsung laptops.
What’s new in the Samsung Galaxy Book 4
The report begins by emphasizing that the entire new Galaxy Book range from Samsung will benefit from Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. Exception all the same for one model, the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, which will be entitled to an Intel Core i9.
The graphic part then differs depending on the models:
- Intel Graphics for Galaxy Book 4 and Book 4 360;
- Intel Arc Graphics for Galaxy Book 4 Pro and Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro;
Nvidia GeForce 4070 for the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra.
In terms of screen and connectivity, almost everyone will be in the same boat with an Oled screen and Bluetooth 5.3. Only the entry-level Galaxy Book 4 will be devoid of these two technical specifications.
On the connectivity side this time, Samsung does not differentiate: one HDMI, one USB-A 3.2, two USB-C Thunderbolt 4, a MicroSD card reader and a headphone/microphone jack for all Galaxy Book 4.
On the design side, the report mentions “some small incremental changes”. The media only mentions the presence of an anti-reflective coating on the screens of Samsung’s Galaxy Book 4 360 and 360 Pro, for use in well-lit environments.
No pricing information has been released at this time. Windows Report expects pricing similar to the Galaxy Book 3, except for the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra. A price increase should indeed take place because of the presence of a larger battery, faster RAM and a dedicated GPU compared to the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra.
For the launch period, we should be in a window similar to previous years, either during the month of February or March.
