Galaxy Fit 3: Samsung would soon be back to compete with Xiaomi

Indications provided by the moderators of the Korean Samsung community forum point to the upcoming release of a successor to the firm’s latest connected bracelet: the Galaxy Fit 2.

The connected bracelet Samsung Galaxy Fit2

While all the rumors around Samsung wearables focus on its future connected watch, the Galaxy Watch 5, there are few leaks regarding its connected bracelets, the last release of which dates back to the Galaxy Fit 2 in September 2020. Since then, we have not had any news about the release of a successor from the side of the Korean firm, until recently.

Indiscretions from the Samsung forum?

New information from the Korean Samsung Community forum seems to give some details about the possible release of a new connected bracelet from the company. It looks like we now have a “likely” release window for the Galaxy Fit 3. On one of the answers provided by a user and presented as a correct answer by the forum administrators, we can read that the Galaxy Fit 3 could see the light either in the second half of 2022 or early next year, which would place it approximately in the launch period of the next Galaxy S23.

A price similar to the previous model

We do not yet know the exact price of this future connected bracelet, but another answer accepted by the moderators on the forum indicates that it could be offered at a price similar to the previous model, which was offered at 59 euros when it was released. . This bracelet would face Xiaomi’s next connected bracelet, the Smart Band 7 already announced in China. It could be marketed here for an equivalent price and will succeed the Smart Band 6 launched in March 2021.

Today, many bracelets do almost as much as certain connected watches with functionalities generally reserved for more expensive products such as the measurement of the oxygen level, the Always-On screen or the GPS. Samsung will therefore have to catch up to re-enter a market in which competition has increased further. This information may certainly come from Samsung, but must still be taken with a grain of salt while waiting for a real announcement from them.
