Samsung will equip the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus with larger battery volumes than their predecessors. It will be 3,900 milliamp hours (mAh) for the base model and 4,700 mAh for the Plus model – 200 mAh more each than the respective predecessors. The S23 Ultra, on the other hand, remains at 5,000 mAh.

This emerges from documents from the US regulatory authority Federal Communications Commission (FCC). As reported by Sammobile, the devices were submitted for market approval and documented accordingly. It is therefore very likely that we will also see these volumes in the finished product.

It remains to be seen whether a larger battery volume also means a longer service life. After all, better – and therefore often energy-hungry – hardware is also expected. This will only become apparent with a product test.
