New day and new information regarding the prices of the Galaxy S23, the next high-end smartphones from Samsung. The Korean giant would have decided not to increase its prices in all countries.
Yesterday, we learned from a very credible source that the prices of the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra were going to increase in France compared to the Galaxy S22 of 2022, but these increases may not apply to all countries. Indeed, on Reddit, a user has published an internal document showing the price of the three Galaxy S23 models at Verizon, one of the most famous American operators.
The Galaxy S23 would be marketed from 799 dollars, the same price as the Galaxy S22. We then see a $200 bump for the S23+ variant and another $200 bump for the Ultra variant. It should be noted that these prices are for the base variants only.
Galaxy S23 prices will vary greatly depending on the country
According to another recent report, based on pricing information for Australia, this year’s Samsung flagships will be more expensive than last year’s. In Australia, the price increase would be 100 AUD for each model. In South Korea, a leak at SK Telecom also referred to rising prices. In France, there is also talk of an increase of 100 euros on the cheapest model, and up to 180 euros for the Galaxy S23 Ultra with 1 TB of storage.
If the information contradicts itself from one country to another, it probably means that Samsung has decided toabandon the smoothing of its price list on a global scale, like Apple. In France, the iPhone 14 are for example much more expensive than in the United States, and it could therefore well be the same this year with the Galaxy S23.
