Samsung is currently working on the new Galaxy S23 and is giving the smartphone the finishing touches. The release is scheduled for spring 2023 and the anticipation of the fans is growing. Accordingly, the leaks and rumors about the new top smartphone are piling up.
The battery gets an upgrade
The well-known leaker “Digital Chat Station” (DCS) has now posted on Weibo that both the S23 and the S23 Plus will receive a small upgrade for the battery. DCS has mostly been right in the past, which is why we believe this rumor.

Apparently, the battery is to be increased by 200 milliampere hours (mAh), which would mean a capacity of 3,900 mAh. Already with the Galaxy S22, many fans criticize the much too small battery and Samsung seems to be trying to do something about this criticism. Whether the upgrade is enough for the fans remains to be seen.
Increasing the capacity from 200 mAh will probably only make a small difference in everyday use. How much longer the new battery lasts will probably only be seen in the live test. Until then, we all have to be patient.
The S23 Plus also gets an upgrade
According to earlier information, the S23 Plus should also get a slightly larger battery. There, the capacity increases from 4,500 mAh to 4,700 mAh. The Galaxy Ultra, on the other hand, should remain unchanged in terms of the battery and accordingly retain the capacity of 5,000 mAh.
