For now, the first rumors around the Samsung Galaxy S24 are unfortunately not the most encouraging…

A few days after learning that the Ultra version could do without the 10x periscopic zoom, the first elements seem to indicate that the processor of Samsung’s future high-end, the Snapdragon Gen 3, would ultimately be less efficient than what we could have hoped. The reason ? Bad cooling.

Galaxy S24 Ultra: a cooling system less efficient than expected?

If the rumor of the day should obviously be taken with a grain of salt, she did not say anything improbable. Via the specialized site Wccftechwe learn that Samsung could finally equip its Galaxy S24 Ultra with a smaller vapor chamber, which would directly impact the multi-core performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Based on its benchmark (via Geekbench 6), the next flagship product from the South Korean manufacturer finally sees its multi-core score rise to 7,000 points, compared to an initial score of 7,400 points. This 5% drop would be linked to thermal throttling due to problems encountered with heat dissipation.

Obviously, you should not sell the bear’s skin before killing it. Remember that several months still separate us from the release of Samsung’s next smartphones. Finally, remember that if it is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Gen 3 which should power the Galaxy S24 Ultra in the United States, European buyers could be entitled to the Exynos 2400.
