The Galaxy S24 is already a box office hit for Samsung, as shown by the number of pre-orders announced by Samsung. But just a few days after its release, the new smartphone is already receiving considerable criticism. Many users complain particularly about the display.
Those affected speak on Reddit and on The OLED display even looks more like an LCD display, according to X user “Pipe Smokerz”. A supposed comparison picture from “zlehnherr” on Reddit shows a Samsung Galaxy S24, whose display is significantly less color than that of a Galaxy S22 that can also be seen.
According to Samsung, no display problems with the Galaxy S24
While there was initially speculation about a possible bug or problems with the Vivid color mode, the reason for the display problems is now known. In a response to the X-Post from “Pipe Smokerz”, Samsung says that the supposed problem is not a problem at all.
In the second part of the post, Samsung even talks about intended color adjustment. However, the weaker color display does not represent a defect in the product.
For many owners of a Samsung Galaxy S24 cell phone, this will probably not be a satisfactory answer. And Samsung is apparently not entirely sure whether the matt colors were really intended by the development department.
Finally, Samsung announces in another, a little later X-Post to understand that the complaints regarding the display have now been passed on to the developers. So there is hope that Samsung might improve this again with an update. Prerequisite: In the end, contrary to expectations, it is a software error.
