  • Samsung has rolled out a new firmware update for the Galaxy Watch 4.
  • It is intended to fix a bug that has led to broken clocks.
  • However, some users are encountering new problems.

Samsung recently released a firmware update for the Galaxy Watch 4 that rendered the watch unusable. The manufacturer has now released a new patch that should help, but new problems are now appearing.

As reported by Sammobile, the new patch with the identifier R8xxXXU1GVI4 actually fixes the problem of the predecessor. For many users, this had ensured that the clock could not be reactivated as soon as it was switched off or the battery ran out.

Affected fans can only send it to Samsung

On Reddit, however, Galaxy Watch 4 owners are now reporting a new problem. Instead of the clock not turning on like it did after the first patch, it restarts permanently. And that as long as the battery charge lasts.

Due to the fact that the watch constantly restarts and never loads into the actual menus, it is extremely difficult to fix the problem. According to the field reports, Samsung offers affected users – as with the first patch problem – a repair service.

It looks as if an update of the Galaxy Watch 4 is generally not recommended at the moment.
