The Galaxy Watch 5 from Samsung will be rechargeable with up to ten watts. This is the result of a recent certification by a US authority. Accordingly, the next top smartwatch will be able to charge twice as fast as its predecessor.

Because the biggest weakness of the Galaxy Watch 4 (Classic) is the charging time as well as the battery life. Unless you have manually optimized the battery life of the Watch 4, you have to charge it relatively often. However, a full charge can take around two hours at five watts.

The certification was viewed by 9to5Google on the website of the US Federal Communications Commission, FCC for short. The watch is expected to be released alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 this fall.
