2024 - Galaxy Watch 5: Samsung would be working on a Pro model with a monstrous battery

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5 is expected to arrive later this year. It could consist of three distinct models, one more than the Watch 4. Indeed, the manufacturer would be working on a Pro model which would have the particularity of having a huge battery.

In 2021, Samsung introduced its new Galaxy Watch 4 range, consisting of a “normal” model and a “Classic” model. The Galaxy Watch 5 could adopt the same process, while adding a Pro model to the list.

This is the Sammobile site which reveals the thing. Based on a document from the Korean telecom organization, the site claims that the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro would have the particularity of offering a monstrous battery compared to the “normal” version.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro could create a surprise

This Galaxy Watch 5 Pro could, according to the document, offer a 572 mAh battery. To give an idea, the Galaxy Watch 4 has a 361 mAh battery. It would therefore theoretically have a 60% faster battery. The Pro model would be the one with the biggest battery, but Sammobile also specifies that the other two models would also be entitled to an improvement compared to the Watch 4 models on this point.

It is however necessary to take this escape with tweezers since as the site indicates itSamsung would not be 100% sure to release this watch. Too many models could indeed lose the potential buyer and the Korean firm could ultimately choose to keep only two.

We will have to wait for the official announcement to know for sure. This should take place in the heart of summer, along with the brand’s new foldable terminals (Fold 4 and Flip 4). Already, leaks have started to roam the net. Not long ago, it was, for example, the presence of a thermometer integrated directly into the terminal that made people talk about it. A way to detect whether the user has a fever or not, which is far from useless in the midst of a COVID pandemic.
