Known for its efficiency in the field of software monitoring, Samsung has started deploying the February 2024 security patch on its smartphones. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 have started receiving the update.
SamMobile media reported that the latter was available in Europe, with the following version numbers:
- F711BXXS7GXAC for Galaxy Z Flip 3;
- F926BXXS6GXAC for the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
In a blog post, Google specified that it had fixed 46 security vulnerabilities linked to Android thanks to the February 2024 patch. For its part, Samsung did not communicate its security bulletin for the month. We therefore do not know if the South Korean firm has applied specific fixes to its Galaxy smartphones and tablets in addition to Google’s fixes.
To install the February 2024 security update, go to the Settings of your Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Z Flip 3 and navigate to the Software Update section. All that remains is to choose Download and install, and follow the instructions.
For information, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 will still be entitled to a major Android update (Android 15), and will benefit from security patches until August 2026.
