- On Twitter, a well-known leaker shows how a larger outdoor display can be used.
- The folder shape seems good for placing app icons in the indentation.
- The larger screen makes room for widgets.
We already know that Samsung could give the Galaxy Z Flip 5 a folder-shaped outer display. If the South Korean manufacturer actually chooses this form, the question naturally arises as to what you can do with the large display. The often-reliable insider Ice Universe posted something on Twitter about this.
You can find one here tweet, which complements the article. With one click you can display it.
In the picture we can see a weather widget on the outside display and a widget for showing the battery status of the paired devices and the time. Icons for system apps such as “Settings”, “Calls” or “Messages” can be seen at the bottom, which has a slightly lower section due to the folder shape. The screen should have a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels.
So that shows how the larger display could be exploited and why the folder shape can be useful. It remains to be seen whether you can set other widgets in the finished product or start apps that are not from Samsung. Ultimately, this information should also be treated with caution, after all, Samsung has not yet commented on it.
