Galyn Görg: US actress dies the day before her birthday

US actress and dancer Galyn Görg died on Tuesday. A day later, she would have celebrated her 56th birthday.

She has lost the fight against cancer. US actress and dancer Galyn Görg (1964-2020) died in Hawaii on July 14, 2020, one day before her 56th birthday. This sad news confirmed her spokeswoman, Sheila Legette, to the USA Today newspaper.

Before the official confirmation, her family had set up a "GoFundMe" page to collect donations for Görg's funeral. "We want to say goodbye to her in a wonderful way because her heart and mind were filled with generosity, love, kindness, forgiveness and compassion."

Galyn Görg was an actress and dancer. One of her most famous television series roles was that of Nancy O'Reilly in three episodes of the mystery series "Twin Peaks" (1990-1991). She also played Lt. Leora Maxwell in the superhero series "M.A.N.T.I.S." (1994-1995). As a dancer, Görg worked with Paula Abdul, Patrick Swayze and Donna Summer, among others.
