Game Freak announces a mobile game that has nothing to do with Pokémon, Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On!

We basically know Game Freak as being the main studio behind the games Pokemon, even if its activity does not stop there. Before inheriting the license, the studio was working on a lot of projects whether at Nintendo or Sony, and even recently, the very forgettable Little Town Hero (not to say mediocre) reminded us that Pikachu and company weren’t the teams’ only concerns. Today we have further proof of this with the announcement of Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On! (relayed by Gematsu).

Galloping Game Freak

The name of this series may not be totally foreign to you since Pocket Card Jockey was released on 3DS a decade ago, followed by a mobile version the following year.

A sort of mix between horse racing and a solitaire game, this title unlike any other will not necessarily have made an impression, but Game Freak has set foot in the stirrup to produce a new one, entitled Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On! and to the Apple Arcade. We obviously imagine that this game is developed by a very small team despite a studio much smaller than what the public can imagine and which connects the releases at a frantic pace.

The release is therefore scheduled on iOS everywhere in the world on January 20th..
