Game interrupted – angry fans set Innsbruck stadium on fire!

It was in the 35th minute of the big league game when there was suddenly a strange interruption. The players were asked to go into the dressing room when the Tyroleans took a 2-0 lead because a fire had broken out under the stadium roof. Fans not admitted to the Tivoli Stadium shot fireworks into the arena from outside, and a loudspeaker was hit, which then ignited.

“It doesn’t work to throw things onto the field,” said Klagenfurt’s sports director Matthias Imhof in the ORF break interview. The German Klagenfurt sports director was also disappointed at the time with the performance of his team, which remained without a goal even after the break.

Shortly after Markus Pink had missed the first Klagenfurt opportunity, Fabio Viteritti scored the 1-0 (16 th) after a nice counterattack after Hupfauf flank. The Carinthians had overlooked the 27-year-old German at the long corner. Twelve minutes later, a finish from Lukas Fridrikas from just outside the penalty area after Ronivaldo’s preparatory work fit right into the corner.

At the best chance of Darjo Pecirep (86th), Wacker goalkeeper Marco Knaller showed a brilliant save. Klagenfurt conceded another defeat after three wins in a row.
