In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a lot of freedom is given to players… except at the beginning. Impossible to leave L’Île du Prélude without having validated the entire tutorial! At least, that’s what we thought! But this crazy player has done the unthinkable!

A new exploit on Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Like its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the perfect game to challenge yourself of all kinds. For example, there is this player who spent 1,855 hours collecting all possible spirits in the depths, namely 999,999, just for fun. And then there’s this other crazy guy who has spent over 1,500 hours on the game and is aiming for another feat: collecting 999 copies of each resource. And then there is Timberwhich is less fond of resources than of glitches. His goal is to succeed in passing L’Île du Prélude without having completely validated it.

The problem is that the game prevents it. The slightest jump into the void triggers a dialogue that brings him back to the island again and again. Timber will thus spend long months, 6 to be precise, attempting the impossible. Combat, dialogue… He exploited all possible and unimaginable elements to find the glitch that would allow him to leave Prelude Island earlier than expected. And since it would be a shame to reveal the outcome of this quest documented in video, we’ll let you support this player’s exploit by watching his video below.

A team glitch

Be careful, if it is Timber who achieved this great challenge, he was not alone at the time. The player has indeed worked in concert with members of the Discord channels Zelda: TotK Speedrunning And Hyrule engineers (with a special mention for the player using the nickname Aergyl). These two discussion groups bring together the greatest glitch geniuses. Together, they are able to beat Tears of the Kingdom at its own game. And the video of Timber proves it once again. What will be their next challenge?
