Game News Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Nintendo Switch version delayed!
Announced almost 4 years ago, Dying Light 2 Stay Human is now in the starting blocks. Expected in a little over two weeks, the title shows itself from all angles and Techland has revealed its plans for the follow-up to the game with a colossal lifespan.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series on February 4. A date on which the version was also planned Nintendo Switch, playable via the Cloud. You saw it in the title, unfortunately it won’t.
Dying Light 2 on Nintendo Switch: Players will have to wait a few months
A few days ago, Techland announced that it would take nearly 500 hours to achieve 100% on Dying Light 2 Stay Human. A bewildering lifespan, which has created lively debates on the interest of offering so much content, and on the studio’s communication strategy. The latter reacted quickly, indicating that it would be necessary twenty hours to finish the main adventure, and about 80 hours to do the campaign and side quests. But owners of a Nintendo Switch will have to wait, since the output was postponed to an unknown date.
However, the developers announce that they have aims to release this version within six months of the game’s release on other media. The team asks players to be patient, because this postponement responds to a desire to ensure the quality of this Cloud version. Techland recalls on this occasion that last year, Dying Light: Platinum Edition was well received, and that it was not no question of doing less well with this sequel. Pre-orders are however maintained, with the associated bonuses: the exclusive digital pack Reload Pack and the Reach for the Sky pack.
Whatever happens, it doesn’t seem to taint Techland’s grand ambitions for Dying Light 2. Not long ago, the studio indicated that the release was just the beginning, and that a lot of content will be offered over months and years. On its Twitter account, Techland says that new products are to look forward to over the next five years, at least. The set should be composed of free and paid content, adding weapons, outfits, objects, new quests, and new areas to explore. However, it will be necessary to wait a little before discovering concretely what the development team has in store for us.
