Fallout 76, Bethesda’s latest disaster
In last place in our ranking, we find… Fallout 76. This game suffered a whirlwind of controversy during its disastrous launch in November 2018: Players faced a myriad of bugs, performance issues, and a shocking absence of NPCs. Despite its many flaws, the latest opus of Bethesda’s license has benefited from significant updates over the years, correcting its major problems. In addition, it remains the only Fallout that can enjoy a multiplayer experience, ideal if you want to play with friends. It is also available on Game Pass! Fallout 3, the best introduction to the universe
In second position, Fallout 3, often considered the best introduction to the post-apocalyptic universe, is a monument to the license. Despite a sometimes shaky main story, the game manages to shine thanks to its excellent side quests. The game stands out for its quality writing, offering an experience that remains relevant, even alongside more recent installments in the series. The map is well designed and although the combat is a bit dated, the Vault-Tec Assisted Aiming System (AVAS) combat system still works remarkably well!
