A tribute design that will delight fans
As reported Polygon, Crystal Dynamics launched a new website dedicated to Tomb Raider on February 14, Lara Croft’s birthday. A website supposed to bring together and share the main information from the franchise and which could also tease the heroine’s next appearance. Via a simple puzzle mini-game, it is possible to unlock wallpapers and artworks. And one of them shows us Lara Croft in her most famous outfit, decked out in her cyan tank top.
This image, which already seems to appeal to fans on social networks, therefore suggests a real return to basics for the next opus of the franchise. As a reminder, Crystal Dynamics is currently working on a new Tomb Raider game under Unreal Engine 5, with support from Amazon Games. A part which should make the link between the original trilogy and the reboot initiated in 2013 with tomb Raider. This visual also evokes the appearance of the heroine as she presented herself in Call of Duty last year when she was available as an operator. In essence, if this image indeed corresponds to the new appearance of Lara Croft, there is reason to expect a tribute opus which will link the different generations of Tomb Raider players.
