To justify this choice, the editorial staff explains that the work of Yasunori Nishiki is impressive because the composer had to create themes for eight different scenarios and that he still managed to create memorable and varied music for each character. Result, the 38-year-old composer managed to offer fantastic combat themes, captivating melodies for the protagonists as well as an excellent use of leitmotifs for key moments in the game.
To do this, the composer was able to count on the help of more than 120 musicians and sound engineers, making it a successful collaborative work. Faced with such prowess, some do not hesitate to qualify Yasunori Nishiki as the next generation of composers at Square Enix who is close to the big names who have worked for the company such as Nobuo Uemastu, Masashi Hamauzu or even Masayoshi Soken. Who knows, maybe in a few years Nishiki will work on the Final Fantasy XVII soundtrack? Only the future will tell us !
