Game news No luck, if you have the digital version of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you won’t be able to platinum the game!
The road to Platinum is sometimes strewn with pitfalls and for some Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth players, it’s even downright mission impossible… A bug prevents you from obtaining the famous trophy.
For more than a month, everyone has been talking about it: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – second part of the remake of the famous JRPG – is to date one of the best games of 2024. On the reference site Metacritic, it obtains a 92 /100, which places it ahead of Tekken 8 and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth. You too may have tried the adventure in the company of Cloud and his friends, and if that is the case, you may be on a rocks… Indeed, as reported on Redditthe Square Enix title suffers from a bug which prevents players from obtaining the famous Platinum trophy and therefore from completing the adventure 100%.

A bug not yet fixed by Square Enix
On the famous forum, it was the Internet user “A0704” who reported the problem. The latter concerns the quest “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” where Cloud must achieve a score greater than 32,000 in Expert mode and thus take one more step towards Platinum. In theory, when the hero meets these expectations, a cut-scene appears to confirm the victory. But at A0704 and other players nothing happens… Obviously: this is a problem with patch “v1.020” – deployed about two weeks ago by Square Enix. Since then, several patches have been released but nothing that fixes this particular problem.
A solution but not for everyone
On Reddit, players are annoyed by the lack of news from the Japanese company | from PlayStation, which publishes the title on PS5! “I’m stuck waiting for a patch,” someone wrote, while another person noted “two weeks and still nothing.” Fortunately, Those who own the physical version of FF7 Rebirth can work around this problem… To do this: you must erase the game data, disconnect your console from the internet, and install version 1.0 printed on the disk (without network updates). But hey, we’re still waiting for a fix worthy of the name.
