One of the biggest successes in video games, Minecraft, could see the light of day on the Steam platform. This is what a screenshot taken by a Reddit user suggests. Delighted by this news, the community shows its enthusiasm.
Everyone has played it at least once! Minecraft is the best-selling franchise in the world with more than 300 million copies sold since its release in 2009 in its Alpha version. A decade later, the game is still talked about and could potentially arrive on Steam. Available via the Microsoft Store for PC players, no version of the base game has yet seen the light of day on the Valve platform. However, two spin-offs, Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Legends are present in the Steam catalog, while their big brother is still not there.
Never two without three
This is thanks to NikNikYT, a Reddit user who, via a post, shows that a page dedicated to the game on the Microsoft Store mentions Steam when he wants to recover his Minecoins. This could be an error on the part of Mojang, the studio behind the game. Other users think that this is due to the fact that this currency can also be used in spin-offs of the game. However, the post makes only refers to the Bedrock edition of Minecraft and not to other games in the license.
It took nothing for this leak to ignite the players. Especially since the game is celebrating its 15th anniversary, a release announcement on Steam would be enough to delight PC players who already imagine the many possibilities that this could bring to the game, as this user says.
