The start of spring is here and with it some highly anticipated titles. Princess Peach: Showtime; Rise of the Ronin, Alone in the Dark and Dragon’s Dogma 2 are causing the excitement of the moment. And looking a little further, we can say that it will perhaps be extended (to a lesser extent, obviously) with a new narrative game from Annapurna Interactive.
Open Roads, the next game published by Annapurna Interactive
Actresses Keri Russell and Kaitlyn Dever star in the video game Open Roads. We have already seen the first in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in the role of Zorii Bliss while the second plays one of the main roles in season 2 of The Last of Us with Abby Anderson. Fans of narrative games will have already seen her in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in the role of Cassie Drake.
The two therefore oppose each other on screen in Open Roads, expected on PC and consoles (except Xbox One) on March 28. This is once again that Annapurna Interactive is publishing a game, known in particular for Stray (the game with the cat) and Cocoon. It’s once again a narrative title where Tess Devine (Kaitlyn Dever) and her mother Opal (Keri Russell) go on a road trip after discovering family secrets.

A video game that mixes investigation, first-person adventure and handmade drawings whose main promise is to learn more about myself with the two protagonists.
Other narrative games planned for the end of March
Annapurna Interactive is not the only independent game to highlight its narrative richness. This is also the case for Assemble Entertainment with Between Horizons. It’s a game set in a science fiction universe where the player must find the culprit in ten different cases… And he won’t get a second chance. DigiTales Interactive is not new to this as it has already released Lacuna. A very popular title (an average of 86/100 on metacritic) which provokes anticipation among players of the first title.
Still in the investigation, this time it is a more famous game which arrives on March 27 on iOS and Android since it is Ghost Trick: Ghost Detective. After its success on Nintendo DS, Capcom recently remastered it on PC and consoles (June 30, 2023). An excellent title (which we tested here) where the player investigates his own death.
