Princess Peach: Showtime is the only new Nintendo Switch exclusive of this first half. It is also the second game that features the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. For what result?
Peach: almost 20 years of absence
Since 2005 and Super Princess Peach, Peach has not appeared as the heroine of her own video game. With Princess Peach: Showtime expected on Nintendo Switch on March 22, the absence is now corrected. The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom returns to the forefront in an action game exclusive to the Nintendo console. At the Théâtre de l’Étincelle, she must don several costumes in order to repel the infamous Syrah who has taken control of the place.
It is therefore through several plays that Peach changes roles, each transformation (which we detail in our video test below) with its own capabilities. Between pastry chef, mermaid or even swordsman and ninja, there are a total of ten which guarantee the variety of the game. A gameplay loop which sometimes has its limits but which comes naturally. The adventure exudes an aura of tranquility through its accessibility and is in no way difficult.

Peach, Nintendo’s new star?
In our opinion, this is the strength of Princess Peach: Showtime. Developed by Good-Feel (behind Yoshi’s Crafted World), the upcoming exclusive shines with the variety of settings that it manages to stage in an ingenious way. We develop this argument in the video test above, but we like to explain that each level (of around ten minutes) is similar to an episode of a cartoon (funny for theater) that the player consumes both as an actor and a spectator.
With Princess Peach: Showtime, Peach definitely draws the spotlight to herself with an adventure that is certainly undemanding but enjoyable. Hoping that after almost 20 years of absence, this second casting can put her more quickly in the spotlight.
