While Rise of the Ronin, Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Princess Peach: Showtime seem to be in the spotlight in March with very distinct video game offerings, a fourth title makes this third month of the year even more varied with a horror game. A few days before its release, its publisher offers a rather special experience to its spectators to get in the mood.
Alone in the Dark: the horror experience of this month of March
In the middle of Princess Peach: Showtime, Dragon’s Dogma 2 or Rise of the Ronin, we tend to forget it because of its remake quality. But Alone in the Dark is indeed one of the big games of this month of March. With this title, THQ Nordic tries to pay homage to the 1992 video game that founded an entire genre: that of survival horror, subsequently successfully taken up by Capcom and its Resident Evil series, the remake of the fourth episode of which was nominated for the Game Awards of 2023 (the “Oscars” of video games).
At the dawn of spring, Alone in the Dark will offer players a very special experience. Especially in comparison to the other planned titles! For those impatiently waiting for Halloween, THQ Nordic has set up an immersive experience: streamers chosen in advance are released into a cursed mansion. An immersive adventure which promises numerous references to the original game but also to its remake. Enough to prepare, on paper, in an ideal way.
“Anything can happen now”
It is therefore in a cursed mansion in London, and more precisely on an island in the Thames, that PewDiePie (one of the most followed personalities on Youtube), El Rubius, Daz Games, MissMikkaa (known for her exploits in dance floor on Elden Ring), Gnu, AngryJoe and others are left alone in the dark. The beginning of the video already sets the tone:
