In a blog post, George RR Martin discussed the future of spinoff series from Game Of Thrones. And this one seems, at best, iffy.

The future of Game Of Thrones is uncertain
Between Christmas and New Year’s Day, author George RR Martin took to his blog to talk about this and that. He declares that after a few days of vacation, he is back to work on the volume Winds of Winterbut also on season 2 of House of the Dragon. He also indicates that he is working on the various series derived from Game Of Thrones in development for HBO. But, there is a but “.

The future of licensing Game Of Thrones at HBO is therefore uncertain, while it would not be the first time that the chain prefers to cancel a series in this universe. In 2019, a series with Naomi Watts was indeed trashed after an unconvincing pilot episode.
What are the potential spin-offs?
The latest news was that there was talk of a spin-off centered on the future of Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) after the end of Game Of Thrones. Another short story-based prequel series focusing on the adventures of Dunk and the Egg was also in development. Same thing for a series centered on the Sea Snake (the character of the same name from House of the Dragon) and another on Princess Nymeria (founder of the Kingdom of Dorne).
Finally, at least two animated series would also be in the cards (and in cupboards?). One of them would focus on the Yi Ti house of Essos.
