Actress Sophie Turner wasn’t sure if she wanted to become a mother in her early 20s. She had thought about abortion.
“Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner (28) became a mother for the first time at the age of 24. Apparently this first pregnancy wasn’t planned, Because as the British actress revealed in a new interview with British “Vogue”, she was thinking about having an abortion at the time because of her young age.
She found out about the pregnancy from Bali
Sophie Turner said she found out she was pregnant during a break in Bali. “It was my first day there and I met my roommate for the first time. Before we sat down to chat, I told her that I just needed to take a pregnancy test. I took the test and thought, ‘I’m pregnant, beautiful, to get to know you!'”
She also talked about it with others there: “Luckily there were therapists there who helped me talk things through. When I came back, I told my husband. I remember throwing the pregnancy test at his feet and said, ‘What do you think we should do? Do you think we should get it?'” Turner said.
Turner admitted that she didn’t know if she wanted to become a mother at the time. “In your early 20s, life is so carefree. At that point I really didn’t know if I wanted to be a mother, but something changed inside me that day.” After all, she just knew “that I had to have it.”
Finally, they later welcomed daughter Willa (3) in July 2020 and less than two years later became a family of four with second daughter Delphine (1).
Custody dispute goes into the next round
The British actress Sophie Turner and the American actor and singer Joe Jonas (34) were in a relationship from 2016 and made their engagement public in 2017. They tied the knot in May 2019. Her first daughter was born in July 2020, and her second two years later.
The love affair between Turner and Jonas is now history; in September 2023 he filed for divorce. Both parents are now said to be in a new relationship. After the separation there was a dispute about the whereabouts of the two daughters. It was last announced in March that the War of the Roses was entering the next round and that the custody dispute would end up in court after all…
