The TV universe of "Game of Thrones" is growing. Three more new projects, set before the original series, are reportedly planned.

HBO is reportedly developing three new Game of Thrones spin-offs. The projects are apparently all intended to play before the events of the original series and tell the stories of characters who play important roles in the world of George R. R. Martins (72) novels. "Game of Thrones" is based on his "A Song of Ice and Fire" series.

Series about Lord Corly's Velaryon

According to "Variety", two of the planned prequels – with the working titles "Flea Bottom" and "10,000 Ships" – are currently in an early stage of development, but nothing is known about authors or showrunners. The third project with the title "9 Voyages" is supposedly developed by Bruno Heller (61, "Rom"). The series is said to revolve around Lord Corly's Velaryon, known as "the sea serpent", a legendary adventurer.

According to "The Hollywood Reporter", Lord Corlys Velaryon will also appear in the previously announced prequel "House of the Dragon", the production of which is due to begin in April. This series takes place 300 years before the original. That said, "9 Voyages" could be a spin-off of a prequel series that has not yet been shot. Previously there had been reports that HBO Max might develop an animated series about Westeros and was considering a series about Martin's novels "Tales of Dunk and Egg".
