Game of Thrones: This is how Maisie Williams thinks about the end of the series

The end of the hit series "Game of Thrones" did not please all actors and fans. Arya actress Maisie Williams sees it differently.

In 2019, the last season of the hit series "Game of Thrones" flickered across the screens. The end caused quite a stir – many fans are downright angry about it. Some of the actors in the series also seem to have their problems with it. Recently, Charles Dance, 73, who played Tywin Lannister, announced that he would sign a petition for a new finale to the saga. Maisie Williams (23), who played a decisive role in the last few episodes as Arya Stark, raves about the end in the highest tones.

"It was a wonderful end"

"We had so much fun. We loved it," said the native of Britain about the final eighth season in an interview with US presenter Jimmy Fallon (45) in his "Tonight Show". "I was so happy with my ending. It was a wonderful end to a decade of my life. I honestly couldn't be happier about it."

The 23-year-old also reveals that before she received the eighth season scripts, she accidentally came across a plot detail of her character Arya Stark. During a costume rehearsal, the individual scenes with the characters were listed on a wall for each episode. The events were summarized in short sentences with abbreviations. In episode three, entitled "The Long Night", she read: "Arya kills N.K.". At the time, however, she had no idea that it was the Night King.

She says of this development: "I was thrilled!" In addition, the British thinks it is "so nice" not to have to worry about spoilers anymore. Because on the street they would always have asked fans about the narrative threads of the series. Next, Maisie Williams can be seen in cinemas in this country. The film "The New Mutants" is scheduled to open in Germany on September 10, 2020. The "X-Men" spin-off was filmed three years ago, but the cinema release has been postponed again and again, most recently due to the corona pandemic.
