Game over ! For 35 years, they impersonate two dead babies to escape radar

For 35 years, an American couple, Walter Primrose and Gwynn Morrison, used the names of two dead babies to escape justice. A completely crazy story.

This is an extraordinary identity theft. Walter Primrose and his wife, Gwynn Morrison, were finally arrested by authorities in Hawaii on Friday, July 29. Their story is totally incredible: for more than 35 years, this American couple impersonated two deceased babies to escape justice. US authorities arrested them after a search of their home, where they found a photo of them dressed in KGB uniformsthe Russian intelligence service.

Wanted for espionage, so, Walter Primrose and Gwynn Morrison escaped US justice for more than three decades, using a very… innovative technique. According to the indictment, they studied together in 1970s Texas, married there in 1980, and in 1987 for some unknown reason assumed the identities of Bobby Fort and Julie Montague, babies who died in the years earlier.

They escaped the radar of justice for more than 35 years

They managed to obtain many identity papers using the names of these babies. This allowed them, therefore, to escape the radar of justice in addition to finding odd jobs to blend into society.. “Federal agents seized letters addressed to defendants under names other than Bobby, Julie, Walter or Gwynn, suggesting they were using multiple aliases”, can we read in the minutes. For the moment, no way of knowing if they were really Russian spies. To be continued…
