As explained by the IGN site that hosts the sequence, this video is taken from a mission located near the beginning of the adventure and once again from the perspective of FBI agent Saga Anderson, the second protagonist that we has for the moment seen more than Alan Wake himself since the announcement of the game. No matter, it is first with his sense of atmosphere that Remedy hopes to seduce, as he did in 2010 with this new license at the crossroads of Stephen King and Twin Peaks.
At this stage of the game, we understand that Saga is already dealing with anomalous events during her dealings with the residents of Watery, who act as if they have known her for years, a reality that does not correspond to that of the agent. of the FBI, who then takes refuge in her thoughts to take stock (this “Mind Place” menu takes the form of an isolated office in which Saga can study her files and gather her clues). The sequel is a little more muscular since Saga finds herself confronted with beings with supernatural movements while she walks alone at night in the woods. The second part of the video sees Saga exploring an amusement park called Coffee World and making a few more sinister encounters, but ones that can always be weakened with light.
