Two months later, good old Geoff Keighley is already back. We left him with a not very inspired conference during the Summer Game Fest, he returns to open gamescom 2022. The recipe is not lucky, and we must therefore expect a few announcements. But also a lot of guests and friends, and hyperbole as if it were raining. For tonight, Geoff promises us 2 hours of show with 35 games, a combination of already known titles and new announcements. Suffice to say that he is selling a rhythmic conference like the others and that he is not going to reinvent anything. At least, we know that 3 games will be entitled to a slightly more detailed focus. Sonic Frontiers, The Callisto Protocol and the recently postponed Hogwarts Legacy are on the program.
And the rest ? Dig into the list of titles planned for this fiscal year and you should already have a good idea of what will be showing. Sony’s catalog is well supplied by then, Marvel’s Midnight Suns – also a little pushed back – should pass a head, as well as Gotham Knights or even the usual chestnut trees.
