Gamescom is over and the organizers have announced the official visitor numbers for the fair. So many people were really there.

- The opening night live show was seen by over 12 million people.
Anyone who had the feeling during Gamescom that comparatively few people were at the video game fair will not be deceived. Official visitor numbers are now available.
In 2022, more than 265,000 people visited Gamescom and that is significantly fewer than in 2019, when almost 370,000 people walked around the exhibition grounds.
However, the numbers are only comparable to a limited extent, because, as the organizers have announced, there is said to have been a significantly lower number of tickets.
But the fair was also able to achieve high numbers digitally. While the opening show was fully booked, almost twelve million people watched Opening Night Live.
Just ten minutes after the start of the show, the Opening Night Live is said to have been number one in the global Twitter trends.
