1,096 days have passed since Gamescom 2019 last took place in attendance. On August 24, 2019, the games fair closed its doors on Sundays. At that time, no one suspected that a long break would be imminent due to the pandemic. But as of this week things are finally back in Cologne.

The question of whether and how things will continue after the break caused by the pandemic arises, and not only for Gamescom. At the beginning of September, the IFA in Berlin will be followed by the next major trade fair for entertainment electronics. And here, too, some well-known manufacturers that have been the backbone of the fair in recent years will be missing – such as Sony and Lenovo. But of course we are still on site for you.

It remains to be seen whether the “fair” concept is still up to date or whether manufacturers will prefer to present their products virtually in the future. First of all, we are happy that we can finally experience and touch the latest games and gadgets up close at Gamescom and IFA.

The iPhone 14 is coming sooner than expected

Apple fans also experienced relief this week. Because finally the manufacturer from Cupertino let the proverbial cat out of the bag and revealed when the iPhone 14 will be unveiled. Not on September 13th or even 14th as was assumed, but much earlier.

But not only the iPhone 14 has a release date, but also other long-awaited games and gadgets – such as the PSVR2 or the new Monkey Island.

So quickly pull out your diary to write down all the dates. You can already save an appointment for this Sunday: At 3 p.m. the Formula 1 race is about the Belgian Grand Prix. It’s the first race after the summer break.
