Expected at the end of August in Cologne, the annual European high mass of video games already reveals some distinguished participants.
The second biggest summer meeting in the video game industry, behind the now well-established Summer Game Fest, should thus ensure the show for its 2023 edition.

Launched in 2009 in Cologne, Germany, Gamescom has since become a major video game event in Europe, two months apart from a certain E3. Hit like its American counterpart by the coronavirus pandemic, its 2020 edition was held 100% digitally.
Unlike E3, which now visibly belongs to the past, Gamescom has bounced back, and its subsequent editions were held in a hybrid format, mixing physical and live broadcast. This year will be no exception and will be in full swing from August 23 to 27. We are promised a “spectacular” program.
Among the most notable, we can already cite Xbox / Bethesda and Nintendo (last seen at Gamescom in 2019). PlayStation could, however, ignore this edition, unless an official declaration proves the contrary. Event organizers intend to reveal the full list of attendees shortly, with likely other high-profile players in the running.
A program that we are told is loaded
In view of the participants, we could well take the organizers of Gamescom at their word for the beautiful program announced. Major publishers Xbox and Nintendo should tell us more about their upcoming big titles like Starfield And Forza Motorsport on the side of Xbox, or even super mario rpg And Super Mario Bros. wonder on Nintendo’s side. We are of course not immune to nice surprises exclusive to the event in the form of the now well-known ” WORLD PREMIERE “.
In any case, the big Gamescom 2023 announcements should mostly be revealed during the Opening Night Live on August 22, the ceremony opening the ball for the event and presented by none other than the influential Geoff Keighley.
Other conferences will of course take place between August 23 and 27, the most important being broadcast live on the sworn Twitch and YouTube channels. Various esports and cosplay tournaments will also be on the program during this auspicious period.
Since Gamescom is also a physical event, those who can go to Cologne at the end of August will have the opportunity to get their hands on the big games expected from publishers and developers on site.
However, this will require the purchase of a ticket which is not quite cheap: a day will cost 59.50 euros, and a three-day ticket will cost 117 euros. It could be that despite their price, these tickets go quickly given what the organizers promise us. Verdict in a month and a half!
