Developers are doing today a big recap on Gangs of Sherwoodwhich is inspired by the legend of Robin Hood, in a multiplayer action game where each character has their own combat abilities. Here’s what to remember:
During the last Crusades, King Richard of England and his armies discovered a marvelous stone: the Lion’s Heart. Endowed with extraordinary properties, the kingdom was able to enjoy prodigious technological advancement. The Lion Heart being the origin of an immense source of prosperity and power, it of course attracted the lust of the vilest… and that is why the Sheriff of Nottingham seized it, thus allowing him to establish his authority and oppress the English people.
Faced with this tyranny, the resistance is organized to overcome the Sheriff’s armies and free the people from his terrible yoke. At the head of this rebellion, four emblematic heroes of the legend of Robin Hood that Gangs of Sherwood allows you to embody: Beautiful Marianne, the Sheriff’s daughter and expert in assassination, the healing monk Brother Tuck, the warrior with the fist of steel Little John and of course, the famous archer Robin of Locksley.
Each character has their own playstyle and a wide range of unique and customizable abilities. As you progress, you unlock new combos and fragments allowing you to perform increasingly powerful and spectacular sequences. While it can be played alone from start to finish, Gangs of Sherwood was designed primarily as a cooperative multiplayer experience for up to 4 players.
