Garbage collection campaign – children cleaned up communities

Last week, primary school children were out collecting rubbish in Anthering, Bergheim (pictured) and Hallwang.

Clubs and schools set an example every year with the “Clean Salzburg” campaign. In the afternoon, i.e. in their free time, the children were busy collecting discarded rubbish from roadsides and meadows. The yield was more or less the same in every community: cigarette packs, cigarette butts, drink cans or fast food packaging, now and then also car tires or larger iron parts. As a thank you, the hard-working helpers were given a small snack after their work.
