A 7-year-old boy died Wednesday morning in a car accident, our colleagues from Midi Libre report.
His mother was driving on a departmental road in the Gard between Le Grau-du-Roi and La Grande-Motte when she lost control of her vehicle.
According to Objectif Gard, the driver fell asleep at the wheel.
The car then hit a tree hard on the roadside.
The rescuers, who arrived on the scene, then found the death of the 7-year-old boy.
They took care of the 42-year-old mother and another child, aged 5, present in the vehicle. They were rushed to hospital.
