Gard Féria de Nîmes: 51 suspicious bites, a few complaints filed

At least 51 cases of suspicious bites have been identified since the start of the Nimes Feriain the Gard, announced on France Bleu this Monday morning the deputy of the City for security, Richard Schieven.

Fewer than ten complaints have been filed, he said. “There are complaints, but not as many as we expected. There are less than ten. »

“We are waiting for these people to go to the Hôtel de Police. It is still a common law offence. We are on voluntary violence with a weapon by destination. The authors can have a sentence of 3 years imprisonment and 45,000 euros,” he added. “It’s very difficult to observe this kind of phenomenon, especially when people realize later that they have been bitten,” he also admitted.

In recent days, six complaints have been filed for “stings” during the International University Music Festival in Belfort. “We have signs of stings, as we have seen on other festivals or other evenings”, underlined the public prosecutor of Belfort, Jessica Vonderscher.

Four other people have filed a complaint, saying they were stung on Saturday, during the Pentecostavic festival in Vic Fezensacin the Gers, and a suspect was placed in police custody, according to the Auch prosecutor’s office.

Fourteen complaints were filed in Toulon after the recording on Thursday evening and Friday evening of the program “La Chanson de l’année”, presented by Nikos Aliagas, and broadcast on Saturday evening on TF1. A 20-year-old man was indicted in the context of an open judicial investigation, in particular for “violence aggravated by a weapon (the syringe) and by premeditation”.
