Just last week Garmin presented new smartwatches for athletes as part of the CES. The Venu 2 Plus and Vivomove Sport are in the middle and lower price segment of the manufacturer lineup. Now there are increasing signs that the next week will be the turn of high-end sports watches.
Garmin has announced an event for January 18th on its Israeli and Norwegian Instagram accounts. Since the manufacturer typically introduces new smartwatches on Tuesdays or Thursdays, the date would be suitable for the launch of the Fenix 7 series. Garmin is also reportedly re-launching the iconic Epix next week, introducing the second generation of the super-rugged Instinct.
In keeping with this, the Swedish online shop NetOnNet had already listed the Garmin Fenix 7s. The price of 6,490 SEK corresponds to around 630 euros. Due to the lower value added tax in Germany, this should correspond to a price of 599 euros in this country.
The NetOnNet offer page, which has now been taken offline again, also lists January 18 as the start of sales. Typically, Garmin’s smartwatches are available from the day they are announced.
