Garmin Enduro 2: the watch in “ultra endurance” mode
The Garmin brand is very proud to announce today its brand new Enduro 2, a connected multisport GPS watch for ” ultra endurance “. The smart watch features solar glass, as well as a new long-lasting battery, which promises to give the Enduro 2 a range of up to 150 hours in GPS mode, and over 45 days in smartwatch mode .
The Garmin Enduro 2 watch incorporates a lightweight titanium bezel and caseback, 1.4″ Power Sapphire crystal, and an Ultrafit nylon strap. There is also a new touchscreen interface in addition to button controls The upgraded solar glass meanwhile promises a battery that lasts no less than 57% longer than previous models.
Sports, notifications and Garmin Pay
The Enduro 2 watch obviously integrates navigation functions from Garmin, maps Integrated TopActive and ski, plus multi-band GNSS systems with SatIQ technology that selects the GPS mode best suited to the environment. For its part, the new Health Snapshot function records and generates a report of key statistics, including heart rate and its variability, the level of oxygen in the blood, breathing, stress…
Garmin is also aimed at night sports with its Enduro 2, since the watch incorporates a new adjustable LED flashlight, the brand’s most powerful to date.
It’s twice as powerful as the one on the Fenix 7X and offers an optional strobe mode to match the runner’s pace or a ‘red safety’ light mode that allows users to see and be seen.
The Garmin Enduro 2 watch is not limited to the practice of sport, and also allows you to receive notifications regarding incoming calls, SMS, calendar reminders, social networks… To this is added the function of Garmin Pay contactless payment.
Obviously, the watch is compatible with both iPhones and Android smartphones. Garmin specifies that the Enduro 2 watch can also send a message with the runner’s live location to its contacts, manually or automatically during certain activities with integrated automatic incident detection if necessary.
The new Garmin Enduro 2 watch is available now at the recommended retail price of 1,099.99 euros.
