Gaspard Ulliel: his shocking latest film will be released in cinemas this Wednesday

More than ever, the last role of the late Gaspard Ulliel, will be released in cinemas this Wednesday. We caught up with Emily Atef, director of this moving film, which premiered at Cannes last May.

It was the thrill of the Cannes Film Festival this year… The screening of Gaspard Ulliel’s final film. Died tragically on January 19, the actor has shot several films and series, which have not yet been released on our screens.

On this Wednesday, the last two are revealed to us: More than ever, but also Coma by Bertrand Bonello, for which the actor gave voice for one of the animated characters of the hybrid film. He was also in the credits of Moon Knight, a series broadcast on Disney + in the spring.

More than ever, his latest feature film, with Vicky Krieps, had been screened for the very first time at the Cannes Film Festival. This is where we met the director, Emily Atef, who agreed to talk to us about this shoot and her collaboration with this actor so beloved by the public.

Impossible not to be moved at the sight of this film, in which the theme of mourning, the loss of a loved one, is central. The film follows Hélène (Vicky Krieps) and Mathieu (Gaspard Ulliel), who have been happy together for many years. Faced with an existential decision, Hélène leaves alone for Norway to seek peace and experience the strength of their love.

Gaspard Ulliel and Vicky Krieps are both moving in this film, often luminous, despite the harshness of its subject, with very intense scenes.

Emily Atef is a director of German origin to whom we owe the film Three Days in Quiberon, with Marie Baümer in the role of Romy Schneider. In the meantime, she has also directed episodes of the Killing Eve series and television films.

More than ever, with Gaspard Ulliel and Vicky Krieps, is on view this Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
