Gazprom stops gas deliveries to Europe via Nord Stream 1 for “maintenance”

(Reuters) – Russian energy giant Gazprom said on Wednesday it had halted gas deliveries to Europe via the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline, the start of a three-day maintenance shutdown announced two weeks ago.

According to data published on the site of the operator of the gas pipeline, which supplies Europe with Russian natural gas passing under the Baltic Sea, the flows at the level of Nord Stream 1 have been zero since 01:00 GMT.

Gas flows will be interrupted for 72 hours, until 01:00 GMT on September 3, according to the energy market information publication platform Seeburger.
