(CercleFinance.com) – GE announces that its Power Conversion division has recently been awarded a contract by Keppel Shipyard Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sembcorp Marine Ltd, for the design, supply and delivery of two electrical modules to to equip two floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) units that will operate in Brazil.
The integrated electrical module model that will be supplied by GE Power Conversion is considered the ‘heart’ of the platform: it provides electrical power to all FPSO operations, in addition to housing the equipment that controls the ship.
