(CercleFinance.com) – GE today announced that it has completed the acquisition of BK Medical, a specialist in active imaging systems for surgeons, from Altaris Capital Partners for a price of $ 1.45 billion.
With this acquisition, GE Healthcare adds the rapidly growing and relatively new field of real-time surgical visualization to its pre- and post-operative ultrasound capabilities, creating an end-to-end offering and continuum of care, diagnostics and therapy.
